When in Stockton make it a point to stop by this restaurant never fails drinks and food delicious. Always have had good service seated promptly. There's seating outside or inside whatever your preference is.

I've had a LOT of Mexican food in my life and I have to say this place has the #1 BEST flour tortillas I've ever had in life.... Not to mention it's made on the spot! Don't get your hopes up as you can't buy them separately (trust me I asked). Don't mind my pictures as literally all the food was so good that we ate it before we could take good photos. But that could be because the service is very bad and the only reason they get a 4/5 versus a 5/5 . My waiter didn't speak English (which is fine, but I don't speak Spanish) so he had to eventually get someone else to help us. Then the food took a very long time, BUT well worth the wait! This is a relatively large restaurant too sitting nicely near the water with plenty seats but they do get super busy!

I was visiting out of town for a vet appointment and this place is not a disappointment at all. It's absolutely amazing, corn tortillas made fresh and the food is at great portions. I would have got another dish but I was smarting with my toddler and the chorizo was still amazing

We docked our boat (you get 2 free hours) and headed to the bar. They didn't have any tonic water so my husband ordered a pina colada and I had a peach marg. They were HUGE and only $9-10 each. Watch out for the brain freeze tho! We had the Nenas platter which was more than enough for him and I AND we took half of it home! Great service, great drinks and great food, esp for the price. Will definitely be back!

I ended up back at this restaurant after several years boycotting it due to the long wait and terrible service. I went for my MILs birthday. I have to say I went with zero expectations for the service. I was surprised that our server and two other servers serving the patio area did a good job making sure we had everything we needed. The mariachi walks around playing music on Sundays, so they played happy birthday for my MIL. We had: a mojarra (fried fish), a molcajeta filled with various meats & veggies, aguachiles (shrimp) and camarones a la crema (shrimp sautéed in a creamy white sauce). All the food was delicious and their handmade tortillas are always an extra nice touch.

The food is amazing. The service was impeccable. Sonia was amazing and very patient. The person who was assisting her was awesome as well. This place was so busy and although we waited for 45 minutes it was worth the wait. Sonia was running around, waiting on three or more of the tables, and still was able to honor our request. So thank you for her. We love this place, been here several times. We got to hear the mariachi band, which was amazing. Omg the burrito was so amazing. Now i have lunch for tomorrow. The only request would be for the food to be hotter in temperature. It wasn't hot enough. I will be back with others.

My fiancée's family and I went to Nena's Mexican today. The ambience was fabulous because we were outside by the water. They block the sun so it is not too sunny. The service was good, they brought us new salsa when we asked and our drinks/food came quick. The food was delicious! I had the fish tacos which I highly recommend. The best dish of the night was by far the Camarones Zarandeados. I don't even eat shrimp but that dish was amazing! And the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Overall great experience. We will be back again!

Nena's! Been coming here for a few years now. The big selling point is always the flour tortillas. Today we ordered chilaquiles rojos and a tampiqueña. Pretty good flavors and the prices are pretty decent. The staff is very nice and we were seated very quickly. They refilled our salsa as soon as it was running low, definitely attentive. The restaurant has plenty of seating but they can get full on a random day and you might have to wait to get seated but Overall it's a great place to check out and bring the family too.

Parking is fenced in but shared with the entire shopping center. It feels quiet and safe amongst the not so great neighborhood. Nenas is on the far end opposing the parking lot, you can walk through the little strip mall to get there. On a Sunday afternoon, this place was happening! The wait was about 40 minutes for our party of two and a number of people were lined up waiting outside. The interior is nothing special, but about what you would expect from a privately owned Mexican food restaurant. We ordered the flour chips ( A MUST since they make them fresh in house) cheese dip (wouldn't order again, this was literally fajita veggies with melted cheese in a pool of grease) the chili Colorado (solid) and fajitas which came two two MASSIVE fresh tortillas. We also ordered a pitcher of virgin margarita to enjoy. Pregnant or not, you can still enjoy a food drink! As we were wrapping up our meal, a mariachi band wandered in and began serenading each table which was quite the treat! Overall we enjoyed our experience. If you give them a try, the fresh flour tortillas and flour chips are a must.
